What's new in Purely Finance

A running log of features, improvements, and fixes shipped to the product.

  1. v1.2.0Latest

Reliable period workflows across desktop and mobile

    Added

    • Installable PWA support with update handling, an offline fallback, iOS installation guidance, and the concise home-screen name Purely.
    • Broader browser, accessibility, localization, and responsive regression coverage for public and authenticated workflows.
    • Cookie consent management is available before analytics scripts load.

    Improved

    • Mobile layouts for sources, imports, transaction review, recurring transactions, reports, settings, accountant, and administrator screens.
    • Period-close controls, source summaries, balance explanations, and status readability in light and dark themes.
    • Dashboard navigation, notifications, compact cards, sheets, and touch targets on narrow screens.
    • Landing-page analytics integration and browser security policy compatibility.
    • CSV recognition and localized transaction statuses across common European bank exports.
    • Bank- and language-independent CSV column detection, with a shorter guided mapping flow when a file is genuinely ambiguous.
    • Local CSV parsing now uses hardened dialect detection, localized absolute-date parsing, and typo-tolerant header matching without sending financial data to external services.
    • Compact source cards distinguish one-time CSV imports from sources that support background synchronization.
    • CSV previews now expose the final signed amount and keep every confidently detected field editable before import.

    Fixed

    • Landing translations remain stable under concurrent server rendering.
    • Compact screens no longer hide administrator controls or clip source and review content.
    • PWA updates discard obsolete caches, and signed-out users cannot reopen cached authenticated pages.
    • Exchange-rate requests use the current provider endpoint without a redirect.
    • Vulnerable transitive frontend dependencies were upgraded.
    • Generic German statements are no longer misclassified as N26 exports solely because they contain booking-date and amount columns.
    • CookieYes, Microsoft Clarity, and consent-aware Google tags are no longer blocked by the production Content Security Policy. Google Consent Mode now defaults to denied before GTM starts, while local browser checks ignore CookieYes domain-registration warnings.
    • Saved CSV mappings can no longer assign incompatible text columns as dates, times, timezones, or amounts.
    • Repeated CSV sample values and warnings no longer produce duplicate interface elements or React key warnings.
    • CSV mapping asks about only uncertain columns. Confident matches stay applied automatically and remain available in a collapsed review section.
    • CSV rows with an empty booking or completion date now fall back to another structurally valid date column, including cancelled transactions in localized statements. Unicode minus signs are normalized correctly in imported amounts.
    • CSV source and empty-state summaries are vertically centered consistently across desktop and mobile layouts.
    • Ambiguous numeric dates are blocked until their DMY, MDY, or YMD order is proven by the full file or confirmed by the user.
    • Debit and credit direction columns now control the final transaction sign, including localized direction values and separate money-in/money-out columns.
    • Unknown currencies no longer fall back to EUR. Currency codes are validated against supported assets, while files without a currency column require an explicit account-currency confirmation.
    • CSV import now persists the exact signed preview configuration and verifies both the file hash and normalized-result hash before writing transactions.
    • Generic statements no longer inherit a bank provider merely because they share common date, amount, or currency headers.
    • CSV mapping remains available when service workers are blocked by the browser or test environment.
